Place the flower in a lingerie bag. Use “woolmix” or “eucalan” for good results. Set the machine on hot wash, cold rinse, low water level. Check your flower several times during the wash cycle, making sure that the flower has remained intact while the felting is occurring. Initiate the shaping process when you check on the flower during the wash cycle. More than one wash cycle may be needed to obtain the result you desire. When finished, rinse by hand or continue in the machine through rinse and spin cycles (my preference). Shape the flower as soon as it comes from the machine, before it is completely dry. Place it on a towel, atop a glass, or inside a cup for final shaping and drying.
